Source: Phillip Island Nature Parks.

Over the past six months, our dedicated team of staff and volunteers have removed over 113kg of debris from Phillip Island’s beaches. ⠀

This broken down looks like: ⠀
• 23,000 individual pieces of debris ⠀
• 13,470 bits of hard and soft plastics ⠀
• 3534 nurdles ⠀
• 472 metres of fishing line ⠀
• 713 cigarette butts ⠀
• 601 pieces of food packaging ⠀
• 537 lids ⠀
• 505 pieces of rope⠀

Cleaning our beaches is just one way we can help protect our oceans and the marine animals that call them home.
