ResourceSmart Schools Gippsland is a great sustainability program for schools and it has a thriving and innovative community that is keen to share, nurture and grow.

Sustainability is one of three cross-curriculum priorities in the Victorian Curriculum F-10 and ResourceSmart Schools can help you integrate it across your school’s curriculum, culture and community.

Sustainability education develops the knowledge, skills, values attitudes and behaviours that enable students to contribute to a more sustainable way of life at school, home and in the broader world.

ResourceSmart Schools Modules

To assist schools with their sustainability goals, and for them to progress toward sustainability certification, a range of resources are available to help progress through each of five modules.

ResourceSmart Networking

Your local facilitator can help your ResourceSmart School connect with other ResourceSmart schools in your region or field of interest. It’s a great way to swap ideas, learn from others, share resources and network.

Teacher Professional Development

In 2017-18, our ResourceSmart Schools team worked with schools to deliver 55 professional development/student workshops.

In 2018, we partnered with Environment Education Victoria to run a range of free (local) professional development sessions for teachers across Gippsland.
