1st E-waste pop-up (Wonthaggi) – curious to find out what to do with e-waste, Tammy Logan will be at Wonthaggi Plaza, 9.45am to 2.30pm.

1st Vic Bag Ban - statewide ban on single-use plastic bags

2nd Green Waste Amnesty (South Gippsland Shire Council) - until the end of the year residents can drop their green waste off for free at Council's transfer stations.

2nd Free Green Waste Disposal (Bass Coast Shire Council) - get fire ready with the annual free green waste disposal period Nov 2-24.

3rd Community Food Swap (Churchill) - first Sunday of the month 10:30am-12 pm at the Churchill Community Gardens

4th Hardwaste Collection (Loch Sport) – start preparing now by placing any acceptable hard waste items on your nature strip. Check the hard waste collection guidelines to make sure your waste can be picked up

4th- 29th Baw Baw Have Your Say - a short survey to see how Baw Baw Shire Council's service delivery is currently tracking and also gauge interest in Food Organics and Garden Organics (FOGO) opportunities

6th ResourceSmart Schools Climate Change in the Classroom (Leongatha) - an opportunity for teachers to develop their skills to deliver education about climate change that is positive and future focused (free event).

8th Latrobe Valley Asbestos Benchmark Survey - open until 8th December. The Latrobe Valley Asbestos Taskforce wants to understand your concerns about asbestos in the Latrobe Valley, the results of the survey will shape the work they do.

9th Detox Your Home (East Gippsland) - safe, free & easy‑to‑use service to dispose of household chemicals without harming health or the environment.

11-17th National Recycling Week - founded by Planet Ark to bring a national focus to the environmental benefits of recycling.
