Plastic pollution harms our health, wildlife, and the environment, and single-use plastics make up about a third of Victoria’s litter.

To reduce plastic pollution single-use plastic straws, plates, cutlery, drink-stirrers, expanded polystyrene food and drink containers, and cotton bud sticks will be banned from sale and supply in Victoria from 1 February 2023.
