It’s Important To Clean-up Responsibly

Source: DELWP.

If you’ve been putting off your ‘spring clean’ for three springs you’re not alone.

If you have suddenly found yourself without the ‘no time’ excuse, make sure you embark on your household clean-up responsibly

  • Contact your council to find out what collection or disposal services are available
Check with your local council to make sure you have up-to-date info about the right way to dispose of your waste.
  • Ask yourself – would I donate it to a mate?
Only donate quality goods to charity and call your local charity shop to make sure they are open and accepting donations before you drop anything off.
  • Don’t kick your hard rubbish to the kerb
If you don’t have a hard rubbish collection booked you shouldn’t leave your rubbish on the kerb.
  • Report illegal dumping to your local council or  the Environment Protection Authority on their 24 hour hotline 1300 372 842 (1300 EPA VIC).
